ELEPHANT BACK SAFARI - MUKUNI BIG 5 TOUR

Mukuni Big Five is located 3.5km from Victoria Falls and Sun International and 13km from Livingstone Town Centre along the road to Mukuni Village. On arrival at the site, a guide will give a short talk on the safety aspects of the activity and an introductory talk on the animals and their habitats. Afterward, guests are introduced to the Elephants and the mahouts.

The trail goes through the pristine bush where guests might chance to sight numerous species of wildlife and bird life. At the end of the ride, the guests are allowed to interact and feed the elephant they have just ridden.

General Information:

Minimum 2 pax – maximum 12

Minimum age is 3 years

Children under 12 pay ½ price

All children should be accompanied by parents or guardians.

There are no specific health requirements for this activity, and physical disabilities will be considered on an individual basis. Please note that guests will sit astride the elephant, there are no side saddles available

Mukuni Big 5 Safaris are not responsible for children too young to do an activity and will NOT look after them whilst parents are on an activity. No children will be allowed to remain unattended on the Mukuni Big 5 premises under any circumstance.

Private activities are available and can be arranged as long as there is availability. The minimum charge is equivalent to 10 pax

Excursion Includes:

Tea, coffee, juice, and water on arrival

A trained guide on each elephant with the guest/s

DVDs of guests' trips are available for purchase

Return transfers from hotels within Livingstone

What You Need to Bring:

Camera

Hat/Cap, sunglasses

Sunscreen and mosquito repellent

Comfortable walking shoes that won’t fall off

Trousers are advisable since seating is astride the elephant

Raincoats are advisable in the rainy season as the company does not provide them.

Dull-colored clothing is advised

Credit card/kwacha if you wish to purchase the DVD of your activity
