River boarding and Rafting Tour
Surf the Zambezi River below the Falls on a body-board accompanied by an expert.
Wild and exciting, these trips combine those rapids which can be ‘surfed’ on the board with the bigger ones which have to be ridden from the raft. These trips link in with the rafting schedules and itineraries and are only available during the low water season.
What you need to bring
- Camera (GoPro or similar) is completely at the clients risk. Taking a normal camera on a rafting trip is not advisable. Photos are done by the Operators photographer in a kayak.
- Hat/Cap, sunglasses
- Sunscreen and mosquito repellent (optional)
- Comfortable walking shoes that you don’t mind getting wet
- Swimsuit / shorts and T Shirt.
- Some money should you wish to purchase the DVD / pictures of your trip
Excursion Includes
- Bottled water on the raft
- Helmets / life jackets
- Wet suits in the winter
- Park fees (applicable for full day and am half day low water rafting)
- Lunch and soft drinks taken either at rapid #10 and/or at the end of the trip depending whether it is a full day or half day trip
- Return transfers from hotels within Livingstone
Pick up times Hotel/ Lodge
- AM low water: Pick up 08h30 / 08h45 – return ± 13:30.
- PM low water: Pick up 10h30 / 10h45 – return ± 17:00.
- Full day low water: Pick up 08h30 / 08h45 – return ± 17:00
- High water: Pick up 08h30 / 08h45– return ± 15:30.
