THE ROYAL LIVINGSTONE EXPRESS TOUR
Beautiful classic steam locos and carriages, restored by Bushtracks Africa and Rovos Rail, incorporate a classic steam expedition with fine dining provided by Sun International’s Royal Livingstone Restaurant and Chefs.
The train comprises five carriages; Two dining cars, a Kitchen Car, a Lounge Car, and an Observation Car with Steam Locomotives 10th Class 156 and 12th Class 204 built by Northern British Locomotive Works in the 1930’s. Loco 156 was renovated by the famous Wildlife Artist David Sheppard in 1971 donated to Zambia National Heritage and restored by Bushtracks in 2005.
The Beautiful Wembley Dining Car was built by the Birmingham Railway Carriage and went on display in London at the British Empire Exhibition in 1924. It was shipped to the Union and entered service on 19th May 1926. In honor of its exhibition duties, it was renamed Wembley.

The Victoria Falls Bridge Run
This service runs on Wednesdays and Saturdays for FITs and groups with a minimum of 2 pax
Maximum number – 92 pax
Private hire – minimum 50 pax
The train will travel on the “Cape to Cairo” mainline which will then take it to the Victoria Falls Bridge. Once on the mainline the train leaves the outskirts of Livingstone and travels into The Victoria Falls World Heritage Site. Games such as elephants and antelope are often spotted en route to the border post.

Children pay full rate(not advisable for children under 12)
Guests will be required to carry their passports for identification purposes only – this will not affect guests’ visa status so passports will not be stamped.
The train will stop on the bridge for approximately 20 minutes and guests will have a chance to disembark from the train at this point.
A five-course set dinner will be served at the Palm Grove siding before heading back to the Bushtracks siding.
Special dietary requirements need to be communicated in advance.
The Mulobezi Line Run:
The train will run on the Mulobezi line on other days with a minimum of 20 pax.
Maximum number – 92 pax
Private hire – minimum 50 pax
The Mulobezi railway line runs through the heart of the Zambezi River Valley. The train will set off through Dambwa Township and on up the Mulobezi Line. The railway line runs parallel to the Zambezi River and sunset will be enjoyed while traveling through the Mosi-Oa-Tunya Game Park (wildlife sightings cannot be guaranteed).
The locomotive ‘runs around’ at Sinde Siding providing photo opportunities depending on light.
The train pushes further on from Sinde Siding to stop for a five-course set dinner, with dessert being served on the return journey to Livingstone.
Special dietary requirements need to be communicated in advance.
The minimum number of pax on a non-run day is 20 pax.
