You will get the best safari experience in the areas that are known to have some of the highest concentrations of wildlife in Zambia and Africa – the area included in this package is a prime wildlife destination.

You will be guided by a top local safari guide, who has been guided in all the areas listed in the itinerary above for many years and knows the different habitats and the wildlife found in them.

Your safari guide has a passion to share his vast knowledge about the wildlife and culture of Zambia with all his guests.

There is an opportunity for you to visit one of the local villages and learn about the local culture and traditions – do let us know if you have an interest in the local culture and traditions, and we will include a village visit in your itinerary.

Brief Notes about South Luangwa National Park:

For most visitors, South Luangwa National Park is by far the most practical park to visit in the valley. This is Zambia’s premier wildlife park, with superb wildlife and many excellent camps. This is where the now famous walking safaris started over 60 years ago and this unique African destination retains some of the finest world-class safari guides.

There are many contenders for the title of Africa's best game park. The Serengeti, Amboseli, Ngorongoro Crater, Etosha, Kruger, Moremi, and Mana Pools would certainly be high on the list. South Luangwa has a better claim than most. Some of these other areas will match its phenomenally high game densities. Many others – the lesser known of Africa's parks – will have equally few visitors. One or two also allow night drives, which open up a different, nocturnal world to view, allowing leopards to be commonly seen and even watched whilst hunting.

Day 1 to Day 3: Njobvu Safari Lodge - South Luangwa National Park

Situated on a game-rich lagoon 800 m from the entrance to South Luangwa National Park, Njobvu Safari Camp, South Luangwa National Park is within a 10-minute walk to the village center.

The property offers thatched chalets with twin beds, a modern bathroom, air conditioning, and a mini fridge. Each chalet also features a private patio.

A continental breakfast is available at the camp, and guests can enjoy lunch and dinner on the dining deck.

An outdoor swimming pool with river views can be found at Njobvu Safari Camp, South Luangwa National Park, along with a garden. There is also an ample beach area.

Bush Spa (South Luangwa National Park) is 2.1 km from the accommodation. Day trips to Chipembele Wildlife Trust can be arranged and Njobvu Safari Camp, South Luangwa National Park offers daily game drives into the park.

Day 3 – Transfer from Njobvu Safari Lodge to Mfuwe Airport

Day 3 to Day 5 – Kiambi Safari Lodge in Lower Zambezi National Park

Brief notes about Lower Zambezi National Park

This Park is still relatively undeveloped, its beauty lies in its wilderness state. The diversity of animals is not as wide as the other big parks, but the opportunities to get close to game wandering in and out of the Zambezi channels are spectacular.

The Park lies opposite the famous Mana Pools Reserve in Zimbabwe, so the whole area on both sides of the Zambezi River is a massive wildlife sanctuary. The River’s edge is overhung with a thick riverine fringe, including ebony and fig trees. Further inland is a floodplain fringed with Mopane forest and interspersed with winter thorn trees and huge acacias. The hills which form the backdrop to the Park are covered in broadleaf

Day 3 – Transfer from Lusaka to Kiambi Safari Lodge, Lower Zambezi National Park

On arrival at the Lusaka airport off your local flight from South Luangwa National Park, you be met and welcomed by our driver who will assist you with your luggage and transfer you to Kiambi Safari Lodge, it’s beautiful to drive through settlements in Chirundu town. Since it’s a private transfer guests are welcome to stop the driver and ask questions whenever they want. Lusaka to Kiambi takes about 3 Hours of driving and you get there either in time for lunch or afternoon activity depending on the time of your flight.

Day 3 to Day 5 Kiambi Lodge – Lower Zambezi National Park

Kiambi Lower Zambezi is your first gentle, mellow taste of the Lower Zambezi, and sets the uniquely African stage for your forthcoming journey of discovery.

Kiambi Safari owns and operates an exclusive lodge in the Lower Zambezi Valley – Kiambi Lower Zambezi, situated in the Chiawa Game Management area of the Zambezi Valley, in a prime location on the confluence of the Zambezi and Kafue Rivers.

The Lodge welcomed the first guests at Kiambi Lower Zambezi in May 1999 and has from its inception, enchanted one and all by truly capturing the essence of the Lower Zambezi. Kiambi Lower Zambezi offers a unique composite experience, a rare combination of Africa’s culture, scenery, and wildlife. This is “The real Africa”.
